Terms and Conditions Participation Lustrum 2020-2021 
(25th August to 5th September 2021)

Article 1: Costs of Participation

    1. The stated prices include participation for the stated activity. The Lustrum Committee does not charge VAT over the costs of participation. 
    2. The stated prices for the Passepartout, include all activities (Except the cantus) during the Lustrum week
    3. Prices are stated in euros, unless stated otherwise. 
    4. The Passepartout tickets are limited to members of Ibn Battuta and Alumni of the Faculty of Spatial Sciences of 2020-2021. The signup is on a first come, first serve basis. The Lustrum Committee is entitled to make exceptions to the rules in this paragraph if it considers this necessary.
    5. The Loose Ticket Sale is open to members and Friends of Ibn Battuta and Alumni of the Faculty of Spatial Sciences of 2020-2021. The signup is on a first come, first serve basis (except Schiermonnikoog, see art. 5.1). The Lustrum Committee is entitled to make exceptions to the rules in this paragraph if it considers this necessary.
        1. If more participants have signed up for the travel weekend to Schiermonnikoog, than there are available places, lots will be drawn among the candidates. Persons that are not selected will be placed on a backup list in an order determined by drawing lots. If friends have signed up and no places are available, they will be placed at the bottom of the backup list. The order of the friends will also be determined by drawing lots. The Lustrum Committee is entitled to make exceptions to the rules in this paragraph if it considers this necessary.
 

Article 2: Payment Conditions

    1. The payment for Passepartouts can be done in one or two installments. 
        1. If one installment is chosen, the payment has to be transferred to Faculty Association Ibn Battuta before the 25th of June 2021. 
        2. If two installments are chosen, 70% of the Passepartout price has to be transferred before the 25th of June . The other 30% have to be transferred before the 25th of July. 
    2. The payment for Loose Tickets will take place through a direct debit from the account number stated in the direct debit mandate from the Faculty Association Ibn Battuta.
    3. The payment (excluding the Passepartout) will take place within 60 (sixty) days after The Lustrum. 
    4. An invoice of the costs of participation can be requested via email, which is lustrum.ibnbattuta@gmail.com or board@ibnbattuta.nl 
 

Article 3: Cancellation of participation

    1. Until 9 (nine) days prior to the Lustrum – the 16th of August 2021 at the latest – you can cancel your subscription (excluding, the Passepartout)  free of charge. After this date we will charge the full price. Cancellation can be done exclusively via an email to lustrum.ibnbattuta@gmail.com. A committee member can, after giving notice to the Lustrum Committee, replace you without added costs.
    2. Until 14 days after the 25th of June you can cancel your Passepartout free of charge. After this date we will charge the full price. Cancellation can be done exclusively via an email to lustrum.ibnbattuta@gmail.com. A committee member can, after giving notice to the Lustrum Committee, replace you without added costs.
    3. The costs owed after late cancellation will be recovered in the way described in section 1 and 2 of this article.
 

Article 4: Cancellation of the day / Date Change

    1. The Lustrum will continue or be cancelled in line with the measures of the Faculty Spatial Sciences and the Dutch Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu: RIVM (National Institute for Health and Environment).
    2. The Lustrum Committee can change the date of the Lustrum due to uncertain events, crisis, lockdown, etc. Cancellation of participation will continue as stated in Article 4.1 with regards to the newly set date.
    3. If the Lustrum will be canceled, the Committee strives to return the participants their fee, but cannot guarantee the full payment back, since non refundable costs will be made.
 

Article 5: Liability

    1. The Lustrum Committee and the board of Ibn Battuta can not be held responsible for any damage, from whichever cause, to things or persons caused by or related to the participation in the Lustrum. 
 

Article 6: Applicable Law

    1. To all offers and agreements, to which these Terms and Conditions apply, only Dutch law is applicable.
 

Article 7: Privacy Policy Faculty Association Ibn Battuta and Media terms

    1. Next to these Terms and Conditions, also the Privacy Policy (which is in line with the GDPR – AVG in Dutch) of Faculty Association Ibn Battuta is applicable for the Lustrum. These can be found here
    2. There will be photos and videos made during the Lustrum and pre-activities which can be used for promotional use.
    3. When necessary, The Lustrum Committee will give personal information to third parties in case of administrative and Covid-19 reasons.
 

Article 8: Remainder

    1. In all cases to which the Terms and Conditions do not apply, the Chairman of the Lustrum Committee, together with other members of the Lustrum Committee, decides on further action.
